Does anyone have an idea what handle material the new native with CPM440V steel will have? Zytel, Steel, or G10. I sure hope it will be G10, that would make it an excellent left handed carry companion for my Military!

CPM 440V, G10 Handle....Sounds a lot like the BladeForums Blue Native. I was able to get one of the Plain Edge Blue Natives and I have to tell you folks...I love that damn knife!!! I have never been a big fan of folding knives (with the exception of Buck 110's), but this little baby has impressed me beyond belief! The edge holding and cutting ability of the CPM 440V blade is outstanding. I am still trying to figure out why CPM 440V is not being used by more knife company's, and custom makers for that matter.
Anyway please give us all the details about the new Native. I haven't heard much about it, but I can assure you I will own one, or two, or maybe three. I would also like to have another one with G10 handles. Preferrably something other then the standard black. Tell me more!

The new Native only has a steel change, The handel is still made from Zytel.
To make the handel fron G10 cost's way more as did the BF Native.
Hope this helps.
Have a great day.
Vince.

Thanks for the info Vince!!! Although I would prefer G10 over Zytel, I completely understand the reason for using the cheaper priced Zytel. Any chance of it being offered in anything other then black? The CPM 440V is what has impressed me more then anything!!!! Once again thank you for the info!

Vince, you did mean to say FRN, right?

Mr Blonde - they are available now in CPM-440V. The GIN-1 version has been discontinued.

I would guess that CPM-440V is not being used by many becuase it costs twice as much to purchase the raw material (as ATS-34) and it costs twice as much to turn the raw material into a knife blade; Grinding, polishing, sharpening, drilling, etc.
