New Native: Very slight blade imperfection

Gotta quick question. I've got a brand-new Native (440V), and I'm happy with it, but there is a slight imperfection in the blade. At the very tip, at the point, there must be a slight bulb or bulge, because it can "catch" my fingernail when I slide my fingernails over the sides of the blade to the point. Almost like it was once used as a chisel which bent the blade ever so slightly (haven't done that, of course!) While I haven't really examined it closely, I can't say that it's apparent enough to see just looking casually at the blade.

I'm assuming that this can be sharpened away. Is this a correct assumption, or should I go to all the trouble to send it to the factory?

If you can't see it, and can only feel it, it might just be a "wire-edge" that was left-over from the factory sharpening. A few drags across a Sharpmaker or stone should quickly make it ok.

glockman, thanks! Had no idea. Did a quick search on "wire edge" and it appears there's more to sharpening a knife than I thought. Will try your suggestion, but first I need a stone or two. Read somewhere that two Spyderco stones are advised: 1) A 'bench' stone of medium grit for shaping the edge, and 2) A small 2-sided combination stone for final finish, lightly removing the wire-edge, and routine touch-ups. Whaddya think?

Thanks for the recommendation, glockman. I saw favorable talk of the Tri-Angle elsewhere, so will definitely check it out.
