I heard a rumor that Spyderco will be releasing yet another version of the Native(?)

Does anyone know any of the details about this yet? Any prototype pics?

Will it be anything like the Native III (my all-time favorite spydie - except it was impossible to find in plain-edge! :grumpy:)?

...and please say they have changed the trademark blade shape/design like they did with the carbon-fiber special version (:thumbdn:)

Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks!

That sounds great. Hopefully a better lock too, like maybe the Dodo lock (forgot what it's really called but I like it) and a full 4 clip positions...

There was some talk that I saw recently. I think it will still have the back lock, but it's gonna be either a FFG or a flat grind. Can't remember that piece of info

?

When I posted "FFG" I meant it to indicate "Full Flat Grind" -- perhaps there's a different "FFG" that you guys throw around?

In either case, I'm pretty confident I'll be getting the next one -- whatever it's specs.

IIRC there will be run of G10 FFG S30V Native5. If run will be sold well, than production Native5 will switch to FRN handle, also possible sprints with various steels.

Tom,
I am not familiar with S35VN, how it is different to compare with S30V? It looks like it has less vanadium, which will reduce wear resistance.
Any idea on release day?
