My lady whipped this up for me as a first knitting project, and it really came together nicely! This thing is super plush, and it layers really well. It ought to help out with the freezing weather we've been having this winter!

This thing fits better than any gaiter I've seen in the past, including commercially available ones, AND warmer. The way she made it was somewhat unique, and allows it to be more match the form of the body well. Can't wait to see what she whips up next! :D

Good work! You're definitely better-looking with it on, which might be what she had in mind.

It's a wool/acrylic blend, but mostly wool. :)

It's been like this out for a while now, but it's not keeping me from getting outside to play.

That is a great looking gaiter!!!

Alot of people underestimate how good a gaiter is at keeping your face warm. I wear one everyday at work. Everytime I breathe the hot air fills up the gaiter and keeps my face warm. All the other guys at work made fun of me when the saw me with mine on but about a week later everyone seemed to have a gaiter on.

Anyways, that is a great gift from your ladyfriend. She did a great job. And the best kind of gift is one that comes from the heart. And anything homemade definately comes from the heart!!

that is pretty cool.

Years ago my grandmother made me a polyester fleece jacket. There is no other jacket like it on Earth.

That'll be a treasure piece of kit for a long time.

We need a pic of you in the gaiter holding your Fiddleback/Collins machete.

Oh, you'll get them. Though I'll likely be holding one of my new Imacasas or the Hansa I picked up recently--I haven't taken them out in the woods yet! I have a 14.5" Colin, 20" Colima and 24" Aguila Lampon that all need some play time! :D

My lady found a few nice patterns for shooters mitts, fingerless gloves with a fold-over mitten top, and hats. If anyone has any ideas for some good outdoor gear for her to knit, lemme know! :)

Very nice! My GF knits too, she made me a kelly green scarf that very warm.
