NEW...need advise for Benchmade knife

Sorry if this is a dumb question...

I have had my eye on a benchmade 720 for a while, but being in college I couldn't afford one. Well I just went to their website and noticed they are discontinued.

My question is does Benchmade discontinue knives for a while and bring them back, or will they make a knife very similar in its place, or am I just SOL?

I know this is probably a dumb question, but please be kind as I dont know much about the knife world....yet;) and really want this knife (which will be my first quality knife)

Once a knife is discontinued by Benchmade it typically doesn't make a return engagement a few years later. The 705 and the new 707 seems to be an exception to the rule.
