New new (custom order) Apogee...

Well, my new one of a kind Apogee is done, and should be here in a week or two. I requested several changes, and Darrel pulled through on all of them. Though I hear it was a b#tch.

I'll try and get some pics up as soon as I get it. Should be a looker...let's just hope it still resembles an Apogee.

I know scanning photos can really mess with colors, but the blue handle on your Apogee is hands down the most beautiful blue I've ever seen on a knife. Are the photos you've posted a fairly accurate representation of the true color, and if so, does Darrel have special name for this shade? Thanks.

I don't think theirs a name for it, just blueish / purple on a bead blasted frame. Mine will be satin finished with blue / purple. Darrel did say though, that mine has a "special handle coloring."

I just asked Darrel for the darkest blue he could anodize on the handle. My Apogee's handle is a bit faded now. The light on the scanner brought out the blue very nicely. Direct sunlight on a newly anodized handle brings out the same color.
