New Norfolk

Wow- what a massive difference, how did you do the dye job out of interest, and thanks for showing us! Nice knife by the way!

That did come out nice. It almost looks like Blackwood. I can appreciate the beauty of that knife even though it is too small for my liking. I ended up selling mine because of the size. Very nice pocket knife for a Sunday dress pocket though.

I used the thread on here just search Dyed bone and it should come up it worked just as described and I followed it to a T using RIT dye.

That IS quite the difference. I like it!

That's awesome! I agree with Bob. Looks like Blackwood. Also looks like it was made that way.

Fantastic dye job!

Wow- if you had not told us that was not a factory color I don't think any of us would have known! Nice work and it looks terrific:thumbup:

That did turn out excellently! May I ask if it's black or super deep blue dye? Either way, it's quite an improvement on an already nice knife.

It was just the powder black RIT dye worked great!

I'm surprised that it took up the dye so well, it is I think, Camel bone, which is generally rather more resistant to dye uptake. Or so I thought. It's an improvement, some Camel bone from Northwoods can look anaemic or wishy washy to my eye.

Nice, i have been tempted to try black RIT particularly on knives where the existing colour is too dark to try brown.

Looks great! I like really dark bone covers and yours turned out more than well.
