I have searched for information and I'm a little confused. Thank you in advance for any information.
I sharpened my new SAK down to about 15 deg. with a Diasharp coarse then fine stone. It seemed very sharp. I then tried the 4k waterstone and noticed immediately I thought a dulled edge. It polished the bevel as did the 8k (it's a new combo stone). I have tried this more than once and also with my BM 942.
I looked at the edge with a 12x loupe and it seems I am grinding a flat bevel. Am I just being impatient with the waterstone? I seemed I was filling up the waterstone with steel. The SAK only came back to shaving sharp with a few passes on the Sharpmaker. Any ideas? I appreciate any responses.
