No, you're not wrong. A few years ago a TRASH-2 was offered in a .187 thickness instead of the .210 being offered now.

I did... Though I'm not sure if I'll keep it, as it's got tough competition from my AR9.5, BG FBM, and B11. I know they're different.. but also so similar in many ways...
Now, a nice Swamp Rat AR15 will stand in a league of it's own (I don't have a MOAB, and the next closest I have are the Rucki/Waki and FMV14, length-wise, but are oh-so-different).
