Hey all. I found this Craftsman camp knife art a local antique shop. There wasn't an old lady hoarding crochet needles, but it was a nice place.
I love camp knives. I think it goes back to my second knife as a kid. It was an Imperial Ireland Kamp King, which I still have.
Anyway, I saw this knife and I took s chance on it. I thought I paid a bit too much at $15, but once I cleaned it up a bit, I'm ok with it. Maybe a bit high, but I'm not sorry.
Anyway, can anyone help me with a maker? I'm assuming this was a Schrade contact, but I'm not sure. Also, what about an approximate date of manufacture?
If you look closely, you can see the original grinding marks on the blade. It looked as if it had never been sharpened. The blades are full. And this thing sharpened up nice. Very slick off the old bench stone.
