I have a brother in law who found the fire pan and blower in his junk yard and thought I could use it! He's a winner. I made the hood this week from some aluminum sheet a friend gave me its a little thin but when I burned some paper it seemed to draft really well so now I'll light some coal and see how it does. If the design works like I hope it will Ill make it from some steel plate. I gave the old set up to a friend and he's about ready to make some fire.

The fire pan and buffalo 200 blower came from the old White Pine Copper Mine and ended up in the junkyard if you can imagine that. My old forge set-up heated a lot of steel for me so Im hoping my new rig does as well. The chimney is currently 6" and Im sure 10" will draft even better but we'll see how this burn.
