Hello,

Pretty excited to get my first Emerson knife in the mail today. I got a black super commander. Looks brand new but noticed it's from 2012. I thought it was odd Emerson would ship a knife that's been sitting around for 8 years. Is this normal?

I wouldn’t think that’s normal at all.

Do you have any pictures, I’d be curious to see the stop pin and the box for the SC.

I called and they sent me the last one in stock. I was just wondering if I missed out on any improvements over the years. From what I found that time frame is pretty solid.
