I am watching a survival show I am not familiar with. It is I Shouldnt Be Alive-The Science of Survival. What I have watched so far is pretty good. The original show date is 2005, and it is on the discovery channel. Just thought I would pass it on. This episode is number 3, so it must have been a series. This episode is in the Amazon, and the survival expert/host is a fellow named Mike (NLN).

The episode where about 6 young people were shipwrecked and living on a rubber liferaft for several days was very sobering. There were only 2 of them that ultimately survived and it was only by a stroke of luck or divine intervention that saved them. To me it was a really vivid wake up call for any of us who deem ourselves as tough, macho or think we know it all.
It truly humbled me to watch that episode and gave me a completely grateful perspective on life. I think everyone should watch that episode of this great Discovery channel show that they are re-airing.
