Ooooohhhhh.....

Now I see the light!! That #5 blade is calling out to me, "Buy me MrG, BUY ME!"

You didn't have anything to do with that knife, did ya Don?

Don,

Wicked nice! A blade profile for every occasion

. Listen, how does the system work- where does the blade fit into the wallet, and do you clip the wallet to yourself with the blades clip?

Thanks,

Mario

The wallets have a universal Kydex insert. Instead of being molded to each blade individually, James sought to make a System where all the blades could fit into the same wallet, or, the up and coming neck sheath for them.

I have not received the heads up with regard to the profile of the 2 new blades, the #4 and #5 in this pic, if they are able to go in all of the wallets, etc. I will call him in a little while and let you know.

Basically, you stick the knife in the Kydex Sleeve/Sheath that is sewn into the wallet, and there is a built up area at the mouth of the sheath, inside the material of the wallet, and the clip keeps the knife incredibly secure, yet quick to draw.

I made a mistake in the last review, these knives are actually 1/16" of an inch thick, they are mad slashers that are very sure in the hand.

Keep in mind that this wallet is a large men's wallet, they used to be popular, but have been overrun by smaller bifolds and trifolds...these puppies are the size of a checkbook.

I don't think you would want to carry them the way you hinted at Mario...

But these are good for the "Gimme your wallet" scenario in that, you can smack the person right across the eyes with the wallet as you are drawing. Economy of movement in the extreme...you get your distraction as you draw.

And Mr. G, it is hard to say, I have been whining like a child in Toys R' Us for a hooked blade for a long, long time.

Let me correct that, the #4 and #5 will obviously fit into the wallet that James would send with it (can you say "DUH!?!") but I am not sure that if you already have the wallet that the new blades will be all universal but I think they will be. The hook blade has presented some ticklish angling, etc., with regard to getting all these profiles to fit the same universal sheaths.

Stay tuned. I'm calling soon...

Thanks Don, I get the picture

. I usually carry a wallet just this size with my checkbook in it- so I would feel right at home with one of these. Plus, I can personally vouch for how well flipping a wallet of this size into a would-be assailant's face is as a distraction

How much is one of these bad boys, BTW?

how much?! how much?! how much?!
pleeeeaaaasssseeee don't keep us waiting much longer- i can't find these puppies on the JSP website, and i really like the combination!!

If my memory serves correct(and it should, despite the fact that I've smoked enough weed that even Cheech and Chong told me to 'Just say no') these beauties go for $125. No, there's no pic of them at the website, but if you take a gander at the latest issue of Black Belt, you'll find an ad for the Omega wallets by the back.

Gonna go take a hit off of my bong now...
