OK Guys, need ya'lls help on this one. Seen this one at a gun show recently and could not figure out who made it, now, I bought it and still have no clue who made it. Looks like a WFB to me?
First pic is the knife, second is his mark.

Wow! talk about filework. Cleanwork, reminiscent the '80s &
early'90s. I'll try some of my old Knves Annuals and see if the
I can find that logo.

That's a mystery. I just pored through an Annual 1995, and no names or marks identified this (that I could figure out.)

I wouldn't be surprised if it's not an American maker. What quality, though!

Coop

I looked through some of the annuals with no luck. I have no other info about the maker.

P.S. Those are serrations on the blade, not filework. I thought it was filework to until I ran my finger across them, have Band-Aid to prove it. LOL

Man, I figure someone here would recognize that mark??? Anyone have any suggestions on where else I could go for info???

I couldn't find any info either. This is a perfect example of why maker's should mark their blades with their actual name (and perhaps location).

Really a nice knife...when I first saw the mark the \\\ it spoke the letter M to me, just a thought . Good Luck, Preston

Apparently this guy is a "ghostmaker"
I went to a gun show in Mississippi yesterday and showed it to anyone who looked like they ever seen a knife before and noone knows.

I have looked though the Knives Annuals and mainly looked at "Mark" under the knifemakers section trying all variations of WFB.............

You certainly don't see that everyday. Great looking knife, craftmanship to create that looks outstanding

Chiro74 that's a nice Wharncliff you have there!

I even looked all over the South African Knife Guild site to see what might be.

Didn't see your knife, but I saw a bunch of OTHERS that I wish for.... :p

No, I didn't make this knife ...and I have never seen the mark before.. There are only a few blade stamp makers out there ..maybe check with them,or blade magazine.

If my memory serves me correctly, that is similar to, or the knife that was offered a short time ago in the "Exchange" forum.

Unfortunately, the seller didn't name the actual maker in the post either.

It's the same knife, sold by dredd8: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5002794

I got all excited when I got a hit for "WFB knives on Google," only to see it was the same exact knife. Too bad, I'd like to see some other work by this maker.

It seems that the Main Letters are B F.Could that stand for "Burt Foster"? Maybe it's one of his earlier pieces, that's the only maker I could think of.Cool Knife Though Dredd
Buddy S.
