I have only made about 3 or 4 slip joints, but they are my favorite type of folder.
Comments and critique encouraged.

Darcy:)

My version of a Dogleg pattern.
3 inch blade......just under 3 7/8" closed.
Bronze and nickel silver with brown canvas micarta.
3/32" O-1 steel.....antique etched finish.
Pinned shield (the next one will be a more interesting shape)

Nice. I really like the color of the micarta. And the shield could possibly be engraved.

Nice clean work, looks good to me! Like you said, a more interesting shield would really step it up, but i like everything else about it.

Beautiful! I don't often comment but this one simply looks like it's been a long time favorite of someone's and meant to be carried daily.

Looking good! I especially like the fullness of the blade in proportion to the handle.

Could we please see the knife closed?

And now, since you asked, a critique:

Please call these knives slipjoints, not "slippies." :D

Ask and ye shall receive!
Apologies for the terminology faux pas, it will not happen again:D

Very nice! Thanks for the picture. :)

I made my resquest with a smile. Others may not consider it poor form (we also see "wharnies" and "soddies" and all manner of terminology babyfication here, betimes), but since you asked for feedback...? I thought I'd try to nip this one in the bud. :D

Nice work.

Love that knife, Ellis.:thumb up:

Very nice blend of old timey rustic with clean lines. Very nice user. I'd even go so far as to leave the shield off.

Darcy you are doing very well!!! i like the job you did on the pins, the small ricasso flowing with the handle and there is plenty of blade there!!
