Mike,
That is beautiful! Mutant is right, that wood is crazy but I like it!! This is that wild hamon you showed us last week isn't it?

I think this one will go over really well. One question, how did you do the step on the butt of the handle? Neat addition.

The step down i did with a dremel and some files. I had intended to inlay a damascus piece into it, but i ran out of time tonight. Might get it in tomorrow, but not sure. If i dont get to it, i might take the step out of the handle. Thanks guys!

That is just killer! I really like it, outstanding in every way.

Very cool Mike!!! How come I spend like 10 years trying to figure out hamon and still screw them up all the time, I sell you a blade, give you some ideas and you knock it out of the park on the first try?!?!? I truly hate you. :grumpy:

Haha!!! :D BTW- You were right, I have become addicted to smilies. Is it weird that I say stuff like, "colon eek colon" in the middle of my actual conversations now? ROFLMFAO :D

I'm not too sure about your ass though. I mean, the knife's ass. Er...uh.... that step thingy, yea. That's what I meant! :)

ps- you could thin the lug down on the guard and make it even more sleek while shaving off a wee bit of weight too

I dont know about knocking it out of the park....I just didn't screw it up too bad lol. Thanks guys, Nick....what's with all the colon and ass talk? Sheesh....bad taco's last night? Do they have a smiley for pooping fire?
No really, thanks a ton for the advice, i greatly appreciate it!

Thanks
Mike

Awesome job, Mike! Everything looks very clean, and the hamon in particular is spectacular (colon eek colon)!

Wow Mike that thing Rocks! I love the wood! and I think I like the "Step" thinggy on the handle... Way to step it up!
