I made this Blade months ago as a side project and hadn't got around to sheathing it until recently. I guess I was waiting for inspiration. Anyway, the "Marchete".... thanks for looking.:thumbup:

distal tapered, 3/16" at thickest.
17" cutting edge
2 1/8" at widest
26 3/4" O.A. Length
3/4 length tang
Hickory handle, hemp wrapped, epoxy soaked
Sheath is poplar/yew, hemp wrapped, leather mounted with belt/baldric carry option.

Man thats nice. A 15" version would be handy as well!
 
WOW! that is awesome, love the sheath it looks like some Tai goo makes.

Tai Goo is one of my favorite makers... I can't help but have a bit of his influence come across in my work. For you to say that, means alot to me.

This is awesome.. What a fantastic looking package. I'm inspired to make myself a little bush sword now.

That's scorching hot!! What does the tang look like in that handle? And how much? :D

The tang in about 3/4 the length of the handle her are some wip pics..

Grew up in Texas with Cuban foster brother and worked on ranches with Mexican friends.

A good machete is a heck of a useful tool, and that one is BEAUTIFUL.

And - it looks tough enough to really use, too.

Hey! Thats neato! I really like it. Bricks in the background too. I thoght y'all Canadians lived in mud huts.
 
I thought that was a background sheet the photographer put up.:)

He took the pictures next to the Tim Horton's down the path from his hut.:rolleyes:
