Hey Folks,
I really happy with this one. It is the same model that was entered in the W&SS Camp Knife Challenge last month. The sheath was fun.

Another nice one..........I really appreciate the edge below the knuckles. :)

I love your knives, and I really like your sheath work. Fabulous set that anyone would be proud to own.

Rick,

I like this one a lot. You have a unique style that is refreshing and straight forward.
your work is becoming recognizable without your name or mark being seen.
In my opinion that is something that is hard to do today in a world of "me too" knife makers. In other words I want congratulate you on the direction you are taking.
Marching to the beat of a different drum takes courage and imagination.
Keep it up!!

Thanks Rick for the great knife! I just picked it up from him last night and haven't had too much time to really admire it yet.

It is extremely comfortable in the hand. The radiusing of the drop edge and tapering out of the handle near wrap make for a secure grip that is comfortable and provides power right at the back edge of the blade for forced cutting.

Like all of Rick's knives, this one comes extremely sharp and the convex edge is perfectly even across the length. The balance is 0.5" past the hilt on the back part of the blade making it slightly tip forward. Even though not neutral in balance, the knife is surprisingly lively in the hand because of its overall lightness.

The sheath is just stunning. Both functional and beautiful. The ability to switch out modes of carry is just so unique. Wearing it with the dangler places the knife at a perfect position on the hip and the knife does not seem to move or slap the leg while walking. I'm currently rigging a baldric strap for it, but a quick test shows that his buckles are placed to hang the knife in a good position without contributing to any swing.

I'll write a detailed review on the knife in W&SS this weekend.

The overall project is quite really good and lovely.
all my compliments sir.

Man, that is my kinda knife, love the finish the sheath and the frogs. Great work Rick.

I keep coming back to this thread to drool ove this combo, particularly the sheath. I'm not sure when or how I'll afford it, but I simply must have one of these. Great work as always Rick:thumbup:

sweet. Really nice sheath too. Great design with the frog. You can just slip it through the belt, or put the hangers on.

I like it.

WOW................................ again!!

Rick - I'm at a loss for more/better supurlitives to properly comment on your work.

Greg Shahan said it perfectly, so I'll just ride his coat tails on this one.
