Any good knife shops in New Orleans? Also, can anyone clarify their knife laws? It seems like you can't carry any type of knife whatsoever . Thanks for your time.

Here is a link to Alpine. They have a good selection but you will pay MSRP. I purchase from them from time to time because I believe I need to support the local brick and mortar store for the convenience of handling all the models that you are interested in prior to spending your hard earned dollars and finding out that you don't like the knife.

What he said about Alpine. If you can't find a knife in there that you like, you are way too picky. You may pay list price, but the people there are wonderful and love to talk knives. They seem like they know something about knives and they will let you play with whatever you want. Their inventory runs from cheap to near custom. They might even have some custom knives buried somewhere.

If you get tired of the knives, they have one of the largest collections of clocks I have ever seen under one roof.
