Morning All -

Long time lurker here, have always been into Chris Reeve knives just never made the plunge till now. I bought these 2 babies within the past month from KnivesShipFree.com I love the knives and am glad I went ahead with the purchase. I was going to ask what do people like more the 21 small or 21 large but seems like there are enough threads on this so I won't. I am looking to build the collection and am debating whats next... Does the micarta on these wear fast? I really like the one I have now, I know I will carry the small more than the large so I see it getting used more. So I am thinking the following:

Small 21 Micarta
Sebenza 25 Micarta Inlays
Umnumzaan
Ti-Lock - Not sure about this though reading mixed reviews on it.

Hi beautiful knives.

The one thing I would mention about the knives you are considering is that if you like the small, the 25 and the Umnumzaan are both the same size as a large 21. That said they are both beautiful knives and I am sure you would be happy with either as long as you are good with the size. I can't speak to the Ti-Lock I have never owned one or handled one.
 
Nice Collection, your off to a Great Start. The micarta will not wear out. Its tough as nails................ The Ti-Lock is a great knife. its just quite a bit different than a sebenza is all. I had one and actually miss it. May get another at some point..................The umnumzaan is a great knife as well. Especially the newer versions. Don't count out the 25 as well. Yet another amazing CRK design.
 
That's a great start you have, I am a micarta fan and bias toward micarta. Any of the choices you have listed will serve you well. It's all about your needs for the type of chores you'll be doing. I have both large and small CRK's and have a purpose for them. Both fit my hand well. I carry the small in my front shirt pocket for ease of use and is used more than the large when I'm carrying both.
 
A great start as others have said. I also have had a Ti-Lock and miss it. I know it is not on your list but a Regular would be a great addition. I carry a small every day and love it.

I'm an old time Chris Reeve collector with a bunch of knives. I have other makers knives and I do rotate for fun and function. My small regular in BG-42 has been a primary carry piece for many years. Do I carry a large? Yes occasionally. To me the small is the perfect EDC.

I've owned a ti lock for a while and its around the same size as a small, maybe even a little smaller, it feels like. Choil on the handle makes it feel good in the hand.

First, thanks for buying from us!

I didn't see anyone say anything about the wear of Micarta. Micarta doesn't wear quickly at all. You should be completely fine using it as much as you want.

The TiLock is a cool knife. I have one in my collection just for that reason. I like the lock and the action of the knife. Once you get used to it, it is easy to open and close and the lock is solid.

Like others have said, it is different from a Sebenza.

Thanks Derrick for the products, extreme fast shipping, and quality customer service. I actually e-mailed you guys last week looking for the Small Sebenza 21 Micarta and you emailed me back letting me know its on order and coming... 2 days later I noticed it was In Stock! I just placed my order for my new Sebenza Small 21 Micarta!

Sebenza 25 Micarta next!
