Upgraded the ole CTS-20CP from Grey to Shiny new CF scales. I've dyed the Grey with limited results, so I figured I'd go with a new set of scales.

Tried to get different angles so the CF pattern/surface showed up well.

I'm working on trying to get some Toxic Green Peel Ply (and possibly Red Peel Ply):

Looks much better than the stock CF, IMO. I also like the deletion of the clip holes.

Are the gray scales ruined?

Nah - they're a little stained underneath from multiple attempts at dying and not scrubbing them hard with the dye remover (I was mainly concerned about the outside and not the underneath) but they're put up in the Grey PM2's box right now.
 
Right now aside from a few of the underneath stains, they're Grey again (RIT dye remover works really well). I first tried to go Red, and it barely took, but the part that did was not the color I wanted. I tried to go Blue with the same results - and really wanted a Toxic/Lime Green, but couldn't even really get them to take much of the Green until I ended up with this:

This is the color it took the best (sort of a Seafoam Green), and I hated it so it quickly came off:

Gator made them - but he's over-run with orders, so it takes quite a bit longer and I'm pretty sure he's now over-run with emails as his response-time is pretty long too.

Fit/finish is out-standing and he included a tapered dowel and and some sand-paper to fit the scales perfectly to my particular lanyard-tube's flare.

My ultimate goal is to get a set of Peel-ply (factory-look) Toxic Green scales for my CTS-204P PM2 and a set of Red Peel-ply scales for the S35VN PM2 (as Grey, Green, and Brown were my least favorite colors).

The problem is finding someone who does nested scales and that will touch Peel-ply G10 and will try and keep the factory look.
