for quite some time i have been using my old modified bandicoot sheath to house her, from when i carried my green rat shaker.

i liked the set up, with the seat belt belt loop, and something to hold the top of the handle in, so there was no chance of it popping out while running. the seat belt allows the entire wset up to bend to a degree that the leather would kinda dissapear, and i wouldnt even notice it when sitting down.

even when slipped into the pocket (so it doesnt stand out so much as a knife sheath)

the as came with a kydex sheat from busse, and i liked the idea of it... but im certainly not going to wear it as a neck knife (i have no need for them, and if i were going to carry something of that nature, it would be in on a forearm, and something very slim.) the slight rattle of looseness is taken care of by the cord wrapping pushing apart the very very top part of the kydex.

all it is is a folded over peice of seat belt, that has the cut out curve zigzag stitched shut, and a box of zig zag stitches around each chicago screw. that, and a two rows of stitching (to make the belt loop part). the chicago screws were a bit to long, so i thought id have to use washers to bridge the gap, but the doubled over seat belt did a good job of it. the snap is from one of my rigid thrower sheaths.

i think it turned out pretty nice... all i need now is to start making my own kydex :) (ive got the supplies...)

no all there is to see is wether or not its as comfortable to wear over extended periods as the leather version is :)

Seth,

Very clever! Looks like a very comfortable carry.

Try running a hot soldering iron along the cut edge of the seat belt material and it will give you a very nice melted edge. If you don't have one of these, a cigarette lighter can give you a fairly nice flamed edge as well. I can't tell from the pic whether you've done this already or not.

Very cool!

Nuke on!

well, when the seat belt edge goes under the flame until it gets a nice melted edge, one that wont fray, it becomes stiff and unflexable, and breaks if bent to any degree, making the break fray more then before+ (of course, i could be doing it wrong:D wich happens a lot...). so i just pass it under the flame enough to get rid of the fluffy shredds from the scissors, and round it off a little. *post edit... i think thats what you were telling me to do come to think of it... regardless, thanks for the suggestion :) *

wich is why i have it all zig zagged up to keep it from shredding itself, instead of burning it. i tend to zig zag everything... its the "im to tired to do a triple stitch" stitch :D

i kinda wish i had stitched the bottom curve so that it was behind the kydex, for appearence, but its going to be in my pocket, so i dont really care... that and its backwards  (left handed carry).

i like seat belt:) if i could get a belt made out of it that didnt curl when it had things hung from it, id do it in a heart beat...
