After a very successful and satisfying murder of of the old sheath

I put him in his new home.

But in seriousness: Sheath I got from Texas Hunt Co. But for sake of argument I'm just going to call it Spec Ops Large.

First impression was great! It actually fit in right out of the box. but I did boil the liner to rid it of rattle and fit the thumb ramp better. Cord is actually the best feature. It brings the sides of the sheath in towards my leg so rides really well. Pouch currently housing my leatherman. It doesn't appear it will hold a full size altoids tin, but the smaller size should have no problem.

con is the belt loop. I don't have a problem with the loop specifically. It was just a PITA to get on my belt and after 30 seconds of trying to manoeuvre it into the molle on my pack I gave up and will highly unlikely try to put it on ever again.

All in all it's infinitely better than the Ka Bar sheath and a welcome/inexpensive addition to my knife.

Disclaimer: I'm piss poor at reviews and taking pictures but it you want to see something specific give me a shout and I'll try my best to show you :)

Just picked up a fieldmaster myself in mossy oak, price can't be beat. I'll be doing a review soon, but have to say first impressions are that this is THE sheath for my BK7. I also did the boiling trick, works great, much better than the toaster oven mess I had from trying it on the stock sheath.

Stock sheath gave me nothing but frustration. This is actually my 2nd BK7. The first one I modded like crazy but still couldn't get it the way I liked it. When I got this one, I decided I wasn't even going to bother.

I've got a Fieldmaster long in the walnut for my 7, and a SpecOps shorty in foliage for my 10, and I love both of em. They're sized so well for the knives it's like they were made for them. Pocket won't fit a full size altoids tin, but I don't really care to have that much crap packed into a sheath pocket flopping around my leg. I've got a DC3 sharpener and a firesteel in mine at the moment. Will probably add a piece of fatwood and call it good. Love the split belt loop too, seems in all my pants the best spot to have the sheath is right where theres a belt loop, which isn't a problem with these.
