I ordered some new pants from Patriot Leather Company early in March and was pleasantly surprised to learn that a shipment had been made the other day. As an aside, the USPS gave me the option to receive text tracking message, free, so I signed up for USPS Text Tracking, which is kind of COOL! I received a series of texts on my phone from the time the sheath had the shipping label created on 04/07/2016 at 9:15 Murfreessboro, TN to when it was picked up o 04/08/2016 at 1:25pm to each start and stop at post offices in Nashville, Cincinnati, to the local PO arrival, to when it was sorted, then out to deliver, to my phone actually "dinged" at the same time I heard the mailman putting mail in my mailbox at 4:14pm on 04/11/2016! It was really interesting knowing where my package was every step of the way.

But that is all beside the main point. The new pants arrived and they are gorgeous! The pictures on Patriot Leather's website nor the ones I took do the actual product justice! The quality of leather and the workmanship and detail are absolutely outstanding! I couldn't be happier. And I'm certain someday a great-grandchild of mine who is yet to be conceived of, let alone born, will feel the same way!

So as people say, without pictures it didn't happen, SOOOO, here we go with just a few. I'll put more up under the photo sticky later:

Nice setup .

Thanks. I have a few Dave Brown kydex sheaths for some of my other knives and I really like them and his work, but I'm also a bit "old fashioned" in many respects (I ride a Harley and my favorite carry gun is a 1911 Kimber and I wear Levis most of the time). So I decided to go "leather" for a sheath for my ASH-2 for a change of pace and am very happy I did. The quality of materials and the craftmanship in this Patriot Leather sheath really impresses me. I couldn't ask for anything better. As you probably noticed, I got a left side carry sheath for the ASH as the 1911 rides on my right side. I'm now "woods" ready.:D

I do believe the ash 2 is growing on me. Haven't seen many on the exchange either. Anybody strip one yet?

They always say you never forget your first love, and my first Busse, a TGLB has been my favorite. Even when I was one of the lucky few to score a Crusader and a Dave Brown sheath for it, my first TGLB remained my favorite knife. But then the ASH-2 came along and pulled very close. The addition of the Patriot sheath to it has now pushed it into the number one spot in my heart! I carry the AMS daily, since it is not practical to carry a TGLB, let alone the larger ASH-2, but if it were, this is the rig I would carry everywhere! And if I were limited to just one knife, this is the one with the sheath and firesteel that I would select. :D

Congrats on the ASH-2 and the fine looking sheath!!!
Skyler does great work!

The ASH2 is my absolute favorite knife. I went through MANY Busse and Swamp Rat knives and have enjoyed owning and using all of them but the ASH2 is the knife I was looking/waiting/searching for all along. I bought two... stripped and use one and one is on the shelf for now. I will try to post a pic of the ASH2 stripped. I LOVE it.

ClampDaddy, nice work on that bead blast treatment!

Thanks. The decarb on that ASH2 was by far the toughest I've ever had to work with. This one scared me a little because I had to get pretty aggressive around the handles but it ca me out fine. I'm always amazed at how tough that micarta is.

Wow....the ASH2 looks REALLY good!
The Patriot Sheath is awesome too....
Congratz to all...
