Finally found a little time to finish up some leather for one of my favorites -- the Ruck. This was my first Dundee Rig ( wish I had a Armorall dundee to "copy", but It did come out functional at least. )

And here's a terrible shot of the backside -- sorry for the poor pics:

The dangler at the bottom is an extension for the main strap -- for when I'm wearing bulky clothes / jackets. Next time I'll just make the main strap a belt so it is adjustable

The thing I wasn't expecting is how "flimsy" it came out... Next time, I'll be sandwiching some kydex between the leather to stiffen it up. It's just so long that it needs something more than leather and stitching alone.

VERY nice work on that sheath! That definitely took a steady hand and some patience by the looks of it.

AWESOME work! Can we get a pic of someone wearing it? I'm still not exactly sure what a "Dundee" rig is.

How about a pic of you wearing it? Or the human model of your choosing?

Looking pretty sweet there bro! I especailly like how you did the back. :D Lots of versatility. btw, the time is coming soon for that project we spoke of. :)

Awesome news!

Dwayne, when doing the kydex fusion, do you just lay a flat peice of kydex between the leather -- glue it and drill press it like normal???

Lemme discuss that with you off forums, proprietary stuff. :o Its a technique thing. :)

You bet, thanks Dwayne. After I got it done and saw that it was a bit flimsy, I remembered you had posted or said something somewhere to that effect --- that a sheath that long needs something to "stiffen" it.

Everytime I fool around with one of these, it gives me a much deeper appreciation for the quality of craftsmanship in your work

I'll try to get a pic of this thing being worn today, or tomorrow for those waiting. It's going to be a long busy one for me...

Here's a few poor pics of the sheath being worn, as requested. (forgive me, I missed the modeling for photos day at school :barf: )

Here's one of the sword being drawn -- it's an easy swing from your back to your side to gain access to the blade...

Hope that helps. Anny suggestions on improving the fiunctionality of it would be welcome

Good idea! Me too! Could you make it a piggy back sheath for my AK and my Ruck?:D

Now that's a good idea! Someone really should order one from Dwayne --- just to see those 2 stacked in leather would be fun.

Whoa! AK/Ruck piggyback! Sweet!!! :D Dark Ninjas beware!!!!!
