Cool. Looks like it has bolsters. Maybe a slipjoint knife w/ either plain or grooved bolters.

That's my story.
 
Dang it ain't Canoe, it ain't 3½" barlow... those bolsters do look like what gec uses in congress' or Cases texas jack like... Maybe they're making Congress Jack?
 
I don't think they're bolster dies, a die would be the reverse of the bolster, in other words a mold of the bolster that a n/s ingot could be pressed into to form a bolster.

Yup, those are the dies to make the molds for the forum knife that should have been...
 
In the coining process,a die is pressed,under great pressure,into a metal planchet thereby leaving a design in said metal. In this case,a die would be pressed into a nickel silver slug producing a formed bolster.
