I haven't had a Peanut in a long time. I love the CV steel but I could not pass up this great lookinf knife. I like the thickness of this stag handle.
I'm going to carry it with my Browning/Buck :O)

Very, very nice 'nut!

Thats a nice thing about some thick stag scales on a peanut; it'll give you a bit more to hang onto. The peanut is hampered a bit by the short handle, but the boxy shape makes up a wee bit. Add some stag scales a bit thicker than normal and gets better.

I am at the tipping point of getting a stag peanut. Hopefully in CV.

Hi kodiak -

Sweet knife!

I saw a display at a local Lowes store of stag peanuts, all in blister packs so I could have hand picked just the one I wanted out of literally about 50 of them, but I kick myself for not getting one.

Thanks for the pictures - very nice!

You can bet I won't walk past them again if I see them in a store.

best regards -

I bought 5 of the stag peanuts site unseen(online auction site) and i am more than happy with all of them.I also bought 2 of the toothpicks and they are very nice as well.

Carl beat me too it,but right on. On a smaller knife,no doubt,a little girth to the handle gives it a bigger knife feel

Nice one!

I've yet to see any Case of other companies' trad.knives in a Lowe's or any other store in Mass. What's up with that?

bought my first case sodbuster at lowes just 4 months ago. e-mail lowes regional manager and ask him/her whats up. i live in balto. md and my lowes carry them.

A few years ago I remember seeing a Case display in the local store with blue handles. I haven't looked there lately.

The local gun shop/sporting goods store only has less than a half dozen tradtional knives.

I don't think it was the Chinese that put Schrade and some others out of business, I think it was the "rise" of the tactical knife market. It has taken a lot more customers from traditional knife makers than the offshore manufacturers IMO. Of course, the collapse of the economy in general did not help either because more than one pocket knife is a luxury when you don't have an income. So, that has made a big impact as well.
