I wanted to let you all know about a new photo album that's up at the Forum Gallery.

One of our fellow Knife Knuts, Rick Carignan, is a Custom Knifemaker in his spare time. Rick has been involved in the buying, selling, designing and making of knives for quite a while. It's been my distinct pleasure to correspond with Rick on a regular basis lately an I'd like everyone to have a chance to see some of his knives and designs.

Also, as there seems to be a general interest and affection for the Bowie type blades (I know I've been hooked for about 45 years), I think an album of the forumites Bowie designs would be a worth while enterprize. If you can draw it by hand or on a computer, I can post it.

To keep from limiting the field, we could include any blade type/style that's 7" to 16" and designed primarily for fighting or survival purposes. I suppose the qualifying question would be " Would anyone from the past, present or future carry this baby off to war"?

MICKEY77,

Glad you enjoyed the pics. I agree, the guys that hang around here produce some awesome stuff. I hope to have a whole lot more to post in the near future as soon as more of the guys start sending in their design ideas (Hint Hint).

Al,

When are you going to put up the Bowie Album up? Thanks for posting mine too. Although, looking at some of the others, I am a rank amature when it comes to knife making.

Al, Great stuff, you guys are truly doing amazing stuff. And Al, I wanted to thank you here for your help and inspiration in getting my PhotoPoint Albums up. I've been up about a week now and I've had close to 1000 hits, I don't know if that's good or not, but I'm kind of amazed.

Al: GREAT PHOTOS! (RA TOO!).

I'd love to see more "my favorite bowie" pics up so I can have more to work with on the bowie project. By the way, I have confirmed with Nepal that they are very excited to do the bowie project. It'll be a chance for the kamis to show their stuff on a new kind of blade. I'm thinking that the handle should be buffalo horn?

Rick,

The Bowie Album is UP and running.

Phil,

The pleasure is all mine. You have a great sense of humor, are a great guy to correspond with and have some REALLY NICE STUFF on your albums. I gotta drool a little when I look at your Dream Collection. The Alamo Bowie and Michael's Sword are beyond words.

Craig,

You got me cranked up now my friend. Hand made Bowies from Nepal.... Yeaaah Baaaaby!!
