Since I'm home from Afghanistan for a couple weeks, I decided to break out my photo gear, and grab some better quality photos of my Insingo since all the photos up to this point have been low quality snapshots. Anyway, here they are. I'll upload more to the photo thread, but since you're not supposed to post comments in that thread, I figured I'd post a few here. Feel free to comment. ;)

That's pretty nice, I didn't know you could even get the Insingo in Micarta.

You cant as of yet, the blade/handle was swapped. Hopefully when KnifeArt is done with their 1 year exclusive, CRK will offer the Insingo with micarta like this and graphics. I know I will definately want a micarta with dual studs. Would make for a great edc.

Their 1 year exclusive was up at the end of last year. I waited and contacted CRK about it, and they're not sure they're going to offer it in any other option than the ones currently offered.:grumpy:

You should try and buff out the blue anodizing on the thumbstud and lanyard
pin. Make it look real sharp.

Enjoy your time home! So I have been away from the CRK subforum for a while. What is your conclusion on the micarta?

Like it?

Yeah, I've thought about it, but I actually like the blue. At any rate, it seems to be wearing off quick enough under regular use anyway. I may decide to buff it sometime though, but I think I'll keep the lanyard and back spacer blue.

Excellent photos and very nice Insigno.

Thank you. I'm very happy with it.

Really nice photos. I'd love a Micarta Insingo.

Thanks. All ya gotta do is swap some parts.. ;) If that's not your cup of tea, you can just wait, but it's not guaranteed CRK is gonna produce them. I'm kinda hoping that they'll see these photos and realize this is something folks want. Then again, I kinda like having something not many folks have. ;)

Wow man...you are a talented photographer....what a beautiful knife!!!

Thanks Kurtras. Photography has been a hobby of mine for a few years now. Thanks for the compliment. Nice to hear that instead of the seemingly typical "wow, nice pic, you must have a nice camera" comments I get so often.:D

Thanks Rich, I definitely will. I'm really enjoying the Micarta scales. For me, they really make the knife. I've made myself carry this as my sole EDC since I got it, and I can't say I've been disappointed in the least. Great little knife.

hehe, yeah I caught all those ;)'s. That is a great looking knife, no doubt about it. I do hope that CRK notices and decides to offer this option in the near future.

Enjoy your time home brother and we'll keep you in our prayers.
