I was out in the woods playing with knifes yesterday. I was reminded of just what a nice blade this first run Koster Bushcraft is! I have a lot of Bushcraft knives and it’s probably in my Top 5.

I love the overall size and the 3V steel. This is the ONLY scandi grind that has NEVER chipped or rolled on me EVER.

Here’s a shot sort of to give the contouring

This is a hand filling handle! Here’s from the bottom where your fingers curve around.

I left it broad across the back to distribute the backward force over a wider area of the palm

Finally an “in hand” shot, showing what a compact little blade this is. You could carry this w/o freaking people out or anything yet have everything you need on the trail.

Here it is w/ some playmates:

Great pics!

Yes....the more I think about it...the more I like it. I can't take credit for the design, either. It was "by committee"...remember?

And I do like the direction the new run is taking....but those 1st Run knives will always hold a special place in my heart.

You did a great job with the handle-shaping on this one.

HD- I don't know how superstitious you are, but there are 13 knives in that pic. Ideally, you would correct this by buying another one. Now, I think we all know how tight times are right now, so it would probably be best for you to just send one to me. My Bushcraft collection is all too safely below the dangerous 13 mark right now. ;):D:p

Great pics! Great knives! Great to see you had a chance to get out with them!

The desert ironwood I recently picked up came today and the handle contours and width look very similar to what you have there HD. After comparing with my first run Bushcraft and the desert ironwood, my opinion is that a great knife has become even better.

Mac,

I had about 15 or 20 knives in the woods w/ me that day. I had a whole basket full of them clearing a trail at my house.

Here's the big brush pile I generated
