I picked my CPAP machine up last Monday, left work early to get it, haven't been going to bed until about 1130/midnight, finally got it hooked up, and was falling asleep all day Tuesday. Wednesday was a little bit better, but was still not what I had hoped for. Thursday was pretty good, still a little tired but nothing like what I felt when I didn't have a cpap. Friday, my birthday, I was up at 5am, and didn't go to sleep until 4am Saturday morning! Woke up about 930, and went strong until about 4am Sunday morning! I walked the dogs, fed them, and promptly passed out until about 5pm, and went to bed last night about 1130 again. I'm desperately trying to shift my sleep habits to about 10pm-4am, I've gotten a tremendous amount of rejuvenative sleep, but my body just doesn't want to shut down for the night. Not insomnia, I can fall asleep, but I just have so much more energy. Even after walking all three dogs at night, the middle one for our nightly mile walk. A Facebook addiction doesn't help matters.

SHS, I do the CPAP too. I barely, barely qualified for it, but am glad I have it. No wonder you were tired all of the time if you were having dozens or hundreds of mini wake-ups all night. Good for you. A major benefit is that it stops any snoring. That right there is a miracle.

And btw, you can go online and learn to hack your CPAP and change the settings without having to go to the doc. At least I could.

I think it was something like 1000 times per night. The nurse at the sleep center sees more and more of it every year. Thank God I didn't wake up in the ER though.
