Just received my latest sheaths from Chuddy Bear. I have been very excited to see how one of my new setups turned out, and believe me, it is better than I could have imagined. I got a piggy back sheath for my Sar-8 LE and my Culti. It is perfect. Culti sheath uses rare earth magnets for retention. Sheath is great.

Thanks for the outstanding work again Chuck!!

Very nice. Chuck did one like that for my Chopweiler and skelewarden. Great rig!

Thats a good looking sheath and setup Jd. Chuck does some nice work. Congrats,

Nice lightweight combo JD and great sheath ..... don't keep your compass tho in the same draw or bug out bag as the knife or sheath though .... I have a Bud Nealy sheath with magnets in it and it ruined a silva compass I had in the same rucksack pocket .... the knife became very "magnetic" as well .... but if kept apart there is no problem. I like that set up as a "one stop shop" for all needs ....

Nice set up,Been thinking about getting one for the SAR family, not sure yet.Chuck really knows how to produce the perfect sheath out of leather.Their beautiful and thick rich leather art pieces,, every one of them.

That is very interesting. I figured it might make it read wrong if close by while navigating, but never thought it would ruin the compass. I will have to make sure I keep them separate. Thanks for the heads up. I learn something new every day.:D

Yeah, the draw between true magnetic north and the nearer more powerful sheath magnetic sets the magnetic needle into a spin and eventually alters the magnetic field in the needle after it settles ...... then it reads "off" by however many degrees the field on the needle is altered .... you need to dismantle the compass and re-magnetise the needle to fix it ....... I sent mine off to Silva and they kindly re-placed mine .... good service

Nice Rig!! I am hoping to score a SAR8 and pair it with my SAR3 in the same manner. Definitely would be a great all-in-one setup! Thanks for sharing the pics it is what I love about this place, always great ideas shared here...Thx JD

Very Cool. Thanks for the information Peter. I never would have guessed that it was a permanent alteration like that. I am glad you said something. I will take extra precaution when packing up for the woods.

Your most welcome. I have learned a lot about knives on this forum and wish I had more information to give back, for now sub-par pictures will have to suffice. The SAR-3, SAR-8 combo would be great. Had I known the SAR-3s were coming out I may have waited to order a sheath for the SAR-8. Chuddybear will work with you on whatever you want in a sheath. He has always been helpful over the phone when discussing the details for a sheath and has experimented on a couple sheaths for me. I have always been very pleased with his work and his customer service.

Awesome setup! Chuck's leather work is amazing! Haven't tried anything w/magnetic retention. Infi is sort of magnetic-kinda always wondered how it would affect retention if the poles were opposing at the contact point.(If that makes any sense:p)
