"New" Pirela Designs

herm i havent seen any of these on his other site, so i am guess that they are rather new. They do all look great i am a huge fan of what Joel does. I do hope that he gets some new makers, or factory makers so they can be more affordable.

Did Pirela design the MT Kestrel? I've never known if that was him, a knifemaker or in-house.

In any case, I'd love to see a Pirela design done by a manufacturer. The thought of a BM or Camillus producing a Corallus makes me tingly.

Joel always busts out some crazy cool designs, and it looks like this year's don't disappoint....

I'll have a large Strobe, Biggie Trazer, and an Operator on the side; no sour cream. Could you super-size that?

I like them all except the Idea of the Ti bladed knives, i understand the coolness of an all Ti knife, but i wouldnt have any use for it, especially disconcerning is the Argon Fixed blade since it is one of my favorites. i also love the Trazer folder and the Vorax folder, they would be most tempting to me.

But once again i ask, when are you going to do another deal with microtech? tell them to make 'em just like the LCC except with a 50% thicker locking liner and MSRP them for less than 200 (and you could have a D/A model, think of the possibilites)

Good luck, i think that it is a really great business that you have created, you design them and get well respected makers to bring your vision to life, cool.

I'll second the apprehension with Ti. I loved those W. Thomas T-Rex knives, but I couldn't bring myself to saving up for something that doesn't seem as sturdy as common steels. I say "seem" since I don't know about it first-hand, just research.

And, bringing out the little sycophant inside of me, I'll also second a production collaboration! The designs not only look cool, but most of them seem like they would be great users. Something affordable from an MT or Camillus would be outstanding.

*end smooching noise*,

I carried a Warren Thomas Ti bladed folder for awhile. The way I used it it held up great! Normal pocket knife stuff. The thing was light as hell, could hardly feel it in my pocket. I only traded it off because it was a hair large and had some sharp angles/edges.Kind of wish I still had it.

If anyone's still watching, Joel added some maker's names to the new line. Walter Brend is one of them again!

Now if only Steve Ryan would agree to one...
