New Pocket Clip Finish

I called Benchmade to ask them to send me some deep carry pocket clips to replace clips on several of my older knives, and noticed that the finish on the newer ones is different from the my older clips which have sort of a high gloss paint finish, that isn't very durable. Does anybody know what the new finish is and how it holds up?

The finish on the new clips is black oxide which should hold up better than the painted clips. It doesn't chip off.

Are all the deep carries black oxide now? If so that was a smart move!

All of the newer SKUs are using the black oxide deep carry. Some of the older SKUs haven't been switched over yet.
