Santa brought a few pocket sized fixed blades this year. I think my favorite of the three is the Remora. But I think it needs just a tad more grip size. Although it makes me cringe just a little, I may just cord wrap the handle. [emoji16]. Just remembered that I recently picked up some new leather strands, so I may try that first.

Nope,

The remora is Cutco's very well done 440a. My kids and I love ours! I'm not familiar with the JAB, but the Snody is Taiwan CroMov something. If the Ka Bar name is on it, I'm sure its a solid little blade!

My question, does the Snody fit in the front pocket of the large Becker sheaths?

Just checked the Kabar website and the new remoras are 1095 cro van. I think they changed it last year from the stainless.

I'm sure it's a mistake, but it does say 1095 cro-van.

Nice. I'll say, the Remora certainly has the look of uncoated 1095; it's not nearly as shiny and 440-looking as mine. Stick it in a grapefruit and report back ;). That's a nice trio of EDC fixies.

What is the middle knife in the pic? I can't make out the name.

Pretty sure it's a JAB design...the Piggyback.

Sorry, should have mentioned the model names. The top is the Snody Skeleton, next Johnson Adventure Piggyback, and the Remora (BK13). I just pulled the packaging, and the Remora states .125" Thick 440A Stainless. The others do not spec material on the package.

They are really growing on me for such little guys. Liking the Remora most. Probably comparable in size to the Esee Candiru.

Here's my first take on a wrap. Used some fairly thin leather lace. When a strand breaks, I'll probably redo with something thicker. Not real proud of it.

Started out as a very light natural color. But when tying the first knot, it snapped. So I added some super glue to hold everything together on the end. Then that part was pretty dark in comparison. So I slapped on some dye, but the superglue end did not absorb much....if any, so it is now lighter than the rest. Awe well, better luck next time.

Now i just need to cut a notch in the sleeve to accommodate the wrap.
