New Polishing Towel Stock

I came across a comment here in a thread about the new, darker blue CRK polishing towel. I received a new knife today with a 31-May 2016 birth card and it in fact does have the darker towel. Besides the darker color, it's about 1.5 inches shorter in the long dimension, but still a generous size.

My last CRK with a 22-Feb 2016 birth card had the "normal" lighter towel.

And the Basket Weave is brilliant- the best in my collection.

I've noticed this with my most recently born Sebenza, also, though I have no preference as to either cloth.

Beautiful basketweave! My favorite pattern, as I have three Sebbies in it.
 
Please put your comments about the cloth in an extra thread.

wow! gorgeous piece. nice score! I've always loved the Damascus blades, but that particular pattern I think is just outstanding.
 
I just got my small 21 basket weave CF KnifeArt edition and it also had the new towel. Its May 17th 2016.
I had never really liked basket weave until I saw how well it fitted in my mind carbon fiber. Now I think it might be my favorite damascus. I love the tight pattern.
