Great looking press. I've never used a power hammer, but after working with Bruce B. and using a press, I can't for the life of me see why anyone would want to use a power hammer.
I have talked with experts in some fields that looked at primitive ways of doing things as just alternative tools to use- - Perhaps, to achieve a certain look; so, I don't rule out anything. However, at the present, I like using a press.

Newb here:
Never seen a press in use before, just pictures, so I am building a model in my head: a "diamond" is what happens when a piece of square stock gets skewed into a diamond (parallelogram) cross section (often due to flex in the press frame), right?
Second question: What are the brake drums for?
