How about putting the other neck knives into production? I always forget all about them until a show comes up and there are suddenly a bunch (relatively!) for sale. They are small and straight forward, so I don't imagine tooling up for them would be too hard. I would definitely be good for a few.

Just a thought. Off to order a LaGriffe and a Surefire from Botach (15% off everything through the 4th). And yes, I will check whether the items are in stock!

Have a good holiday!

The only way that these should become standard pieces is in the same way as the Titanium La Griffe. Here Ernie Emerson makes a handmade batch that can be sold over time.

I think that making these knives standard production pieces in the same way as a Commander or PUK will make them less attractive. As it stands these are the affordable Custom Emerson.

Just my thoughts.

Ed

I think most people won't pay over $200 dollars for this tanto neck knife. It is way too expensive. I think most people know that neck knives can be purchased at a low price. For example: CRKT f4, CRKT kiss line, Arc Lite, Rekat neck knives...etc.

rogue_spear,

You are comparing Custom with production here. All of the knives you list are made by production companies and compare in quality and price to the EKI La Griffe.

When we are talking about the Emerson neck knives, these are custom and should be compared to the Kit Carson F4, Simonich Pukni. These knives have a price in the $150-$250 price range.

I agree that if the neck knives became a production piece the price would need to fall to sub-$100.

Ed

linjunpei, I including a great number of people on this board would buy an Emerson tanto neck blade at a reasonable price. Am I slamming emerson?
