We "need" something like this in the ESEE lineup.... ;)
'Antoine' would be the perfect spokesman/'poster chile' for the product also..... :D

Teacher,

I think that's actually a prototype of the Laser Strike Mk.II. Of course that was back when it was the Rifle-Scope Strike, but it just didn't have the same ring to it... or a laser.

God bless,
Adam

That's actually the new ESEE-Throwing Knife prototype.

That makes sense. With the scope on there you should be able to throw it accurately out to what... at least a thousand yards?

God bless,
Adam

PS: They have this one heat treated so that the tip will pierce body armor and ninja suits at that distance right?

It needs to be all tatical black and it needs a rail system for all my tatical accessories! It also needs to have removable handle scales, and we need to be able to throw it. When does it ship?

too funny! reminds me of a similar pic, a crowbar with a red dot on top.

If you look closely there is a red dot to allow fast target acquisition at close range, while the scope is useful for long range targets.

It is in fact differentially heat treated--the tip is harder for armor piercing while the rest of the knife is drawn back to a lower RC hardness. The hardness on the back end of the knife is at the proper RC to minimize flex during flight which causes erratic motion in the air which can cause improper penetration angle and inaccuracy. However, it is soft enough to allow for harmonic resonance during flight which actually aids in stabilizing the knife in flight.

RB,

You got this figured out bro. I just wanted you to know, you can make my scoped throwing knife any day!

Probably illegal in California before it's even available :D

Right now it's still Caly legal. But once we put the high capacity magazine on it there's just no way. About a month or so after release Jeff said we'll even get a Beta-C mag for it!

God bless,
Adam

I'm holding out for the version with the bayonette personally.

The bayonette is important for when that Beta-C mag goes empty. Speaking of emptying Beta mags, have they decided where they are going to put the fire mode selector switch?

Last word the fire mode selector was going to be on the pommel of the knife but there are issues with that interfering with the user's grip on the knife.

I really hope that they find a better place for the selector than the pommel. That would prevent a good reverse sniper grip, especially if you were throwing from the modified, isosceles, weaver stance. Maybe if they could place it just forward of the cross-guard where it'll be easy to operate and shouldn't affect the throwing balance (They could also make it ambidextrous by locating it here, the southpaw's would love that.)

God bless,
Adam
