We are excited to announce a new 3 knife Bug set. The set includes a C133 Bug, C137 HoneyBee and a C138 GrassHopper all in one package.

Very nice! I notice the steel listed for all 3 knives is 3cr. I believe on the grasshoppers I purchased in the past the steel was 8cr13mov same as the ambitious, persistence, tenacious, etc. Is this a switch that will carry over to the grasshopper when sold as a single in the future?
 
The grasshopper does come in two different steels... I believe the newer ones are 8cr13... Maybe they are trying to move old stock by packaging it together

I got my Grasshoppers in the Spring of 2010. I thought that those were listed on the Spyderco website as being 8cr13mov? Is there any way to tell? The Blade is just marked China on one side and Spyderco on the other. Not really a problem as I love the knives I have and the performance is fine. Just curious is all.
