Had some time yesterday to do some kydex for myself, so I made a new sheath for my CRK Professional Soldier. I've made several sheaths for these, and I think they're all better than stock, but I've really been wanting to do a minimalist sheath that would work well for concealing this knife when carried horizontally on my belt, just left of my belt buckle. This is difficult for this knife, as it has a thumb ramp that sticks up. This was a personal challenge for me, but after some thought, I came up with what I think is a good design. I'm very confident in doing more sheaths of this style now. I could make one before (and have), but I feel now that I can make one that is absolutely top of the line for comfort and concealment. I also really pushed the envelope on the size package, and I'm really happy with what I came up with! The stock sheath that is pictured is 2.25" across at its widest point, my sheath is 1.75" at its widest point. Where the tip rests, the stock sheath is 1.5", mine is .875". You can see the difference in the pic where the sheaths are overlayed. I also shaped the sheath to allow a full grip to be established on the knife before it's ever drawn...you can see in the last pic the full grip that you can achieve. This sheath is set up for a small Tek Lok.
I really love this knife, it was a birthday gift from my wife last year, and I'm looking forward to being able to EDC it again! Thanks for looking, and I welcome any comments you have!
