To answer the above questions.............it's a frame-lock; the mechanism's on the other side/IS the other side of the knife and I can assure you that the action is butter smooth and doesn't need any more than the stud that's affixed to open the blade.

Thank you very much! Iam really excited about this one, feels just right in my hand and pocket.I made the first one off the proto just a little smaller.Blade is just under four inches long but actually feels like a smaller knife. Here's a pick of both of them all finished.
