New prototype folder sheath design

I have completed a new folder sheath design that thins the sheath down from my current design.
Both are Level II retention and both deploy identically.
I am looking for input from those that carry in a sheath, which of the designs are more appealing ?
The thinner sheath is the new design and the wider (two bolts showing)sheath is my current design.
Thanks in advance for all of you that take the time to comment.

I look at your sheaths and frankly do not know how they even work - let alone how you make them.

It is one of those things that I always admire - but don't even understand.

You work is as much art as it is functional.

Hi Kevin,

Excellent work as usual. I like the smaller sheath. Any time you can minimize the footprint and keep functionality, it's better. Smaller footprint make sit a lot easier to carry on a daily basis. Love your work!! Hope to see you at Blade again this year!

For as complex as they may look they are not really.
My goal is function first and then I do my best to make it look acceptable, the function is very simple and is easer to use than a snap strap.
Thanks to all of you for your kind words.

I would love to see a video of you using one or employing the knife from these sheaths. I just have trouble picturing it all.

I did think on and test the design in different configurations until I was confident that the lock would work properly.
In the end when looking back on the process I was satisfied with the process, the idea is simple but extremely effective, I have been using the lock design for a year and a half on sheaths for many LEO SWAT FBI and numerous military entities and have never received a failure complaint, so the time and effort was well worth the outcome.

Thanks for posting up that vid! Like TF I have often wondered about the function of your sheaths. That vid made me appreciate your work much more. Very innovative, well done!
