Hi High !

I have a regular large Sebbie with a BG42 blade.

As far as I know, it is said that the BG 42 is an aeronautic steel, used by Boeing to build components of their jet engines. Very tough and so on... And it is said that the steel is twice the price of ATS 34 also known as 154 CM

As a user, I have to say I've been quite amazed by the sharpness, the edge retention and the easiness of sharpenning of this steel. I love it.

Enjoy your Sebbie !

Good deal! My EDC large is in BG-42 and I couldn't be happier with the steels performance.

I spoke to a LaTrobe rep a few years ago. He said BG42 is used for components requiring high corrosion resistance and hardness at high temperature. The nozzles for the Harrier jump jet is made of BG42.

I have a large reg. Sebbie in BG-42 and it is one knife I would NEVER part with! Great score on the small, use it in Good Health! :p
