Just received two new knives.. Got my ESEE-3 and a Mora Top Q in the mail today..
So far, loving the ESEE-3.. Good weight, comfortable scales and handle, and super sharp (to be expected from those boys).. What surprised me was how much I'm liking this Mora..
I picked up the Mora because it was so darn cheap ($16 CDN), and the reviews I read were pretty good.. But to be honest, it didn't look like it would be a very good knife.. Turns out I was wrong about that.. I figured it would make a good backup knife to throw in the car bag or BOB, but I can actually see myself using this on a regular basis.. That being said, the sheath leaves something to be desired.. I drilled two holes in it and looped some paracord through and attached the cord lock I got with my ESEE to secure the knife in the sheath a little better.. Works amazingly well.. I'm going to be getting more of these knives to throw into bags or give away as gifts..
Now, I don't want to take away from the ESEE-3 I got.. Absolutely amazing knife.. But that's exactly what I suspected.. I've had an Izula for a while and I love that little tank of a blade..
Anyways, just wanted to share my new purchases with people who actually understand this wonderful addiction, and who appreciate the quality of a good blade.. The people I know arent into this stuff the way I am.. I get a lot of weird looks from my friends and family, but I don't care.. You guys know what I'm talking about..
