A new Battle Rat showed up at my door the other day! This is one great looking knife.
The blade looks well-designed for both chopping and cutting. There's plenty of metal out near the tip for strength and a weight-forward balance, but the shape and feel both seem pretty good for (somewhat) finer cutting.
At first, I thought the grip may be a little small for large hands, but that's not the case. After limbing some fallen trees and a little male/knife bonding, the handle really feels great. Much of this may be due to the Resiprene C material we've heard so much about. This stuff seems to be one of the best grip materials I've ever tried.
Anyway, it's easy to tell this was mean't to be a workhorse.
Good job, Swamp Rat!
