I just ordered the Rat 1 folder. Does anyone here have any feedback on it? Thanks

It's a nice looking knife. I've never heard of it until now. Like Rat said, be sure to give us a review.

My Rat 1 just came. I am impressed. It compares favorably to my Military. Fit & finish are first class. No blade play in any direction. The liner lock is burly and engages the far left side of the blade leaving plenty of room for wear. The AUS8 blade was sharp and after a little stropping it will pop hair off of the arm. The action is a little stiff but with lube and use I expect it to slick up nicely. The blade is perfectly centered. Even with a hyper critical eye I cannot find anything wrong with this knife. I am very pleased. I am going to look at the other Rats. If they are like this one I want more.

I like it. Is that G-10?

Also cool is the low-ride clip that can go in four spots on the knife.

Thanks for sharing.

Cooool. I like the looks of the knife. It is good to hear that F & F are first class. I hope you enjoy it!!

Here is a rough pic showing the Milie and the Rat1. The Milie is a superior knife but for $60 the Rat1 is excellent.

Looks pretty goood there!
Can we get some in hand pics, also one with the index finger on that pseudo choil region?

Thanks
Desmond

Great, thanks. Does the RAT folder allow for the use of the front "pseudo 50-50" choil? (Like in the military)

Thanks
Desmond

I just got my Rat 1 Plain Blade Black today. Very impressed with quality of the knife. Locks up tight and feels great in the hand. I like this one!

This is a great looking and feeling knife, I planned to pick one up sunday if they are still in stock.

I looked at one last week and was highly impressed with the fit and finish, tight in all directions, and one of the most comfortable knives I think I have ever held.

Thanks for the review/update, I am going to pass this along to some other friends.

Got mine tonight, I am amazed at the feel, fit and finish, this knife is top notch IMO.

You really need to just hold one...........:D If you do, you'll take it home.

Thanks for sharing. Funny you should start this thread. I happen to like and admire Jeff Randall/RAT and his knives AND the particular knife of your avatar as well (hope to get one soon!). Personally, I would have preferred the RAT1 with its already superb ergo's and blade steel with---arguably---a lot more reliable lock such as the one on the Manix (lock back). This would certainly be to me the closest to the ideal folder I'd be confident in to use out in the wilderness.

Untamed you will be VERY happy with the knife in my avatar. It is a bull of a knife.
The Rat1 is a very fine knife too. The liner lock is very strong and positive. The AUS 8 takes a razor edge and holds it well. I highly recommend it.
