New RC-3

I've had my eye on a RC-3 or RC-4 for a few months now. Times were a tough there for a little while and I had to put off my purchase which just gave me more time to ponder my choices. I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself a RC-3 with the desert tan blade and green micarta handle. I went with the RC-3 due to it's size and the fact that I plan on using it as my carry knife while hunting and in the backcountry. My plan changed while I was waiting and decided to go with the RC-3 and then when the time is right I will get the RC-6 and use the molle attachments to keep on my pack.

I like the knife so much I have placed an order with Martin Swinkels to make me a custom sheath. I've always wanted one of his sheaths however I never owned a knife where I could justify it.

I went ahead and ordered myself a RC-4 now as well. I still want the RC-6 next however I found a great deal on the RC-4 so I jumped on it.
 
Alright, I'm done. I couldn't stop looking at the ESEE-6 and the Izula so I bought the suckers. Now in like a 30 days time I bought the ESEE-3, ESEE-4, ESEE-6 and now the Izula.

I swear I don't need the HEST or the ESEE-5. I swear I don't. No need for them so please just discontinue them to help me here.

The spring bear trip can't get here quick enough. I might just leave the rifle at home and stalk them with my ESSE-6.
 
this man is an ESEE addict! :eek:
just get an ESEE-5 now and you will be set, until the junglass, lite machete and arrowhead are available! :eek:
 
Congrats. I'm carrying my RC-3 as I type. Had it about two weeks, so haven't tested it out. I have high hopes.

I spent years looking for THE perfect knife to do it all. After a few months of deep research and lurking, I decided the RC6 was going to be THE knife. I bought it, got it, and proclaimed it the last knife I would ever buy. The next day I ordered the RC4, cuz I mean everyone loves it right? It didn't get halfway here and I ordered an RC3 too. I need a thinner knife too. But I'll never need the izula or RC5. not my style. But hey, I hear real good things about the RTAK II. Got all those in, and then I saw a video of the RC5. The guy dropped it on the table and I thought "OMG that knife is a 1/4 inch tank! I've GOT to order one of those...and why not an Izula?"

Then the Rat pack knives....and the Rat Pack with an RC6. I've got the money set aside right now for a Junglas, and a Lite machete.

I'm still holding out on the HEST...but I'm pretty sure I'll get one and an ESEE3-Mil-S-CP soon :)

It's an addiction...But it's much better than others I've had in the past.
 
I'm telling you. It's just not right. I'm not an impulse buyer. Somehow I managed to convince myself I needed (4) knives in 30 days. I mean they all serve a different purpose, right?

The ones that I have been using to this point all of the sudden stopped skinning and cutting? Damn you ESEE, I say!
 
Yea, I've got quite the collection of Bucks and Gerbers. Still hadda get all the RAT's

Oh, BTW....thanks.... I just went to TKC and ordered a HEST. and another Izula. this time in tan. Time to get some kydex made...

Ok i been seeing lots of post in ESEE ... I guess I might have to get in on this .. Where can I get me one ? ?? And what model ??

As for what model you need, That will depend on what uses you have planned for the knife. EDC, the IZULA or the RC-3 are probably going to be your best options. For the woods where camping and hunting come in to play, i would go with the RC6

Just my 2.
 
They do all look like awesome knives ,,, but i'm not a big fan of fixed blade knives .. I don't wear belts is the main reason ..

I pocket carry my izula, and RC3. Some people also pocket carry the 4, but I haven't tried it
