Yes, another me too post, but today, to commemorate having received my shiny new Rat Pack number, I went out at lunch and picked up an RC4 from the local sharp shop.

This thing has more heft than I imagined, but just like the Izula, it seems rock solid and is plenty sharp. Hope to get some time to get out this weekend and put it through its paces.

thats a great way to commemorate your number. i got an izula like 3 days before my number so it worked out. dont forget to post pics!

Great knife. You're lucky you have a retailer that sells them locally. I've never seen a RAT in a store so I just have to buy them all to try them!

Yup another great product. I also agree, very lucky to find an RC knife at a local shop.

I just went and scrubbed my micarta scales on my RC-4. They went from greasy dark grey to looking like new. Just used a little Dawn soap and hot water. Then I touched up the edge. If it's not too nasty out tomorrow, I'll have to take it out for a hike.

Congrats on your two RC knives. My fave is also the RC4. They are all awesome knives though.

I don't know of any local stores that sell RAT Cutlery either so all of my RAT purchases (Izula, RC3 (RAT Pack knife), RC4 and RC6) were bought before ever seeing them, other than in photos.

Yeah, I am really enjoying them, though with the holidays I haven't been able to put them to the test yet. Regardless, here's the requisite pics of my two kids:

Mine only has to get past Customs... ...may take up to three weeks if they feel like it. Ordered the DT in plain edge.

Planning on getting this from a local custom-sheathmaker. He may still have the mold from this one he made, pictured here. I'm not too fond of Kydex.
